【摘要】:Thispracticecoverstheproceduresforpreparation,testingandusingtheacidicaqueousferrousammoniumsulfatesolutiondosimetrysystemtomeasureabsorbeddosetowaterwhenexposedtoionizingradiation.Thesystemconsistsofadosimeterandappropriateanalyticalinstrumentation.ThesystemwillbereferredtoastheFrickesystem.Itisclassifiedasareference-standarddosimetrysystem(seeISO/ASTM51261).ThepracticedescribesthespectrophotometricanalysisproceduresfortheFrickedosimeter.Thispracticeappliesonlytogammarays,x-rays(bremsstrahlung),andhigh-energyelectrons.Thispracticeappliesprovidedthefollowingaresatisfied:Theabsorbeddoserangeshallbefrom20to400Gy(1).Theabsorbed-doseratedoesnotexceed10Gys(2).Forradioisotopegamma-raysources,theinitialphotonenergyisgreaterthan0.6MeV.Forx-rays(bremsstrahlung),theinitialenergyoftheelectronsusedtoproducethephotonsisequaltoorgreaterthan2MeV.Forelectronbeams,theinitialelectronenergyisgreaterthan8MeV(seeICRUReports34and35).Note1-Thelowerenergylimitsgivenareappropriateforacylindricaldosimeterampouleof12-mmoutsidediameter.Correctionsfordosegradientsacrossanampouleofthatdiameterorlessarenotrequired.Theirradiationtemperatureofthedosimetershouldbewithintherangeof10to60C.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
